Day by Day Itinerary

Overnight: Guayaquil
08:30 Visit of the city of Guayaquil and its main monuments such as the Parque de las Iguanas, on its Malecón we will see the Guayas River and climb to the Cerro Paraíso Viewpoint. At 14:30 Transfer to the city of Cuenca, on the way we’ll see agricultural plantations of cocoa, bananas, and rice. We will ascend to “Los Andes” with a stop at the “3 Cruces” lake area of the Cajas, beautiful Andean landscape, arrival to Cuenca.

08:30 Morning visit of the city of Cuenca, declared a World Heritage Site for its architectural wealth and all the landscapes that give the 4 rivers that cross it, visit the “Museum of Aboriginal or Ethnographic Cultures”, in the afternoon you will have the vehicle available for visits of interest in the surroundings such as the hat factory and visit the nearby towns of GUALACEO with its Orquideario and the jewelry stores in CHORDELEG, return.

06:30 We will leave from Cuenca to the north until we reach Alausí where we will board the train at 11:00 to enjoy an adventure while passing through the exciting “Devil’s Nose” Train, (Train Ticket included) then by land we will go to Riobamba and we will see the CHIMBORAZO from the church of “Balbanera” in the lagoon of Colta. Panoramic visit of the city.

08:30 Departure and visit of the city of RIOBAMBA and its main squares, followed visit to GUANO and continue to the Limpiopungo Lagoon in the COTOPAXI National Park, where we will appreciate part of its flora and fauna with a short walk. Arrival at Quito, in the route we will appreciate the snowy volcanoes and mountains such as the Tungurahua, Ilinizas and Antizana that surround the city of Quito.

08:30 Departure from your hotel to the north and visit the “Plaza de Ponchos” in the market of crafts and weaves of Otavalo, also visit Cotacachi and shops of leather goods, way we will enjoy the Andean landscapes that give Lake San Pablo and Imbabura and Cayambe volcanoes is practically a shopping tour with much folklore. If time permits could visit the waterfall or the village of Peguche in short walk. Be sure to try the Biscuits and “Quesos de hoja” in Cayambe. Return to Quito.

08:30 Departure from your hotel to visit the Historical Center declared humanity’s Cultural Heritage being America’s largest and best preserved, walk through the Basilica, Main Plaza, Government Palace, Society of Jesus $ 5, the church and convent of San Francisco, followed by Panecillo Viewpoint. Next departure to the Middle of the World and visit the Monument to the Ecuador Line, Latitude 0,0,0, $ 5, time for lunch, we will also visit the Museum site “Intiñan” $ 4. In the afternoon return to Quito and visit to the Teleferico $9, those who decide to climb will reach the top of Cruz Loma where they will observe Quito and its surroundings from 4,050 meters above sea level. At the end a brief visit to the craft market for purchases and return.
