Day by Day Itinerary
08:00 Departure from your hotel, following the South Panamericana, from Quito to Riobamba we will see, weather permitting some volcanoes and snowy like the Cotopaxi, Antisana, Tungurahua and Chimborazo, we will also pass through some indigenous market depending of the day: Latacunga (Tuesday) or Saquisilí (Thursday). We will also visit a farm of roses to see their processes of crop, harvest and export packaging. In Riobamba, we’ll make a brief panoramic visit through the “Parque Neptuno” and “Loma de Quito” viewpoint. If the group is interested in buying leather goods, visit Quisapincha.
08:00 We will leave from Riobamba to the south to Alausí, where we will board the train with daily departures 11:00, there we will enjoy an adventure passing by the exciting “Devil’s Nose” (Train ticket included), then we will go to the archaeological ruins Cañaris – Incas called “Ingapirca” (Only if time allows it), after the train ride, (that’s why it does not include entrance fee $ 6.00) finally arrival in Cuenca.

08:30 departure from each hotel and on a hike visit of the historical center of Cuenca, declared a World Heritage Site for its architectural richness and all the landscapes that give the 4 rivers that cross it, visit of its Cathedral, Parque de las Flores and the “Museum of Aboriginal Cultures or Ethnographic “(included) also the hat factory. In the afternoon we will visit the artisan villages of GUALACEO with their “Orquidiario” (included) and the gold jewelery in CHORDELEG, return to Cuenca.

07:00 Transfer to the city of Guayaquil (4h), passing by the lakeside area of “El Cajas”, we’ll enjoy of “3 Cruces” viewpoint. On the way we will appreciate coffe and banana farms and the change of vegetation from Andean to Tropical, arriving in Guayaquil, we’ll stop in “Cerro Paraíso” viewpoint to admire the city in 360 degrees. Transfer to the hotel.
15:00 Visit to “Parque de las Iguanas” and walk through “Malecón Simón Bolívar”, admiring its atractions like La Rotonda, Las Peñas street, La Perla, and the visit could end in Morgan Yacht $8 to navigate the river at sunset. Return to the hotel.
If the programme is done in 3 nights, Guayaquil night will be discounted for 4 days.
